Integrated Card Services - Statistical Modeling Manager | PNC | Wilmington, DE

The individual selected will reside in PNC's Decision Analytics team
supporting the Integrated Card Strategy (ICS) initiative. This
person will be part of a team responsible for driving statistical models
and recommendations that improve the risk adjusted return of customer
management strategies.
In particular, this role will work collaboratively with team members
across the organization to perform data analyses, data mining,
predictive modeling, and experimental design to improve targeting
and P&L estimates for Acquisitions, Existing Customer Management,
and High Risk Account Management.
The person best for this role will have at least a Master's degree in in
a quantitative field and 5-15 years of experience with hands on
statistical modeling experience working for a financial services
company, preferably in credit cards. This poisition might manage a
team of junior/senior modelers. Ideally, the candidate will have
experience in risk management or financial/marketing analysis.
Qualifications include:
- Master's or Ph.D (Ph.D preferred) in Statistics, Mathematics,
Operations Research, Engineering, or other quantitative discipline.
- In depth knowledge in statistics modeling, data mining, and experimental
design.
- Expert analytic skills using analytic software, preferably SAS (Base,
Stat and Graph) and Oracle.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and work on multiple projects on a
concurrent basis and be able to meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment and to collaborate with other
internal staff and external consulting firms.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
